Stefania is a legal design and contract design pioneer who has shaped the field through her research, advocacy, and practice for more than 15 years. She is an all-rounder, backing her design expertise with a solid academic background.
Stefania is the founder of Passera Contract Design, a multidisciplinary collective helping clients creating contracts that people understand and business loves. She also collaborates with World Commerce & Contracting as an in-residence expert, delivering training and projects for corporate members and leading initiatives around contract design.
Before 2017, she split her time between academia and contract design consulting. She published a world-first empirical doctoral dissertation on contract visualization (Aalto University, Finland), and highly-cited articles, and served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Vaasa, Finland. Her groundbreaking work earned her the Women of Legal Tech Award in 2020 and a WorldCC Fellowship in 2017.
She is a sough-after international keynote speaker, panelist, and guest lecturer, as well as a co-author of the Legal Design Manifesto and the Contract Design Pattern Library, and the creator of the Legal Design Jam series of workshops.
